Case Odyssey

Case Odyssey, a case competition organized by the FLAME Business and Consulting Club, stood as a true test of intellect, teamwork, and strategic thinking. Designed to simulate the dynamic environment of real-world consulting, the competition challenged participants to think on their feet, analyze complex business problems, and craft innovative, data-backed solutions, all within a limited time frame.

The event drew participation from across the university, with 63 students stepping up to showcase their analytical and problem-solving prowess. Registered participants were briefed on the competition guidelines a day prior, setting the stage for an intense and high-stakes challenge. The case study was unveiled at 9:00 AM, giving teams just a few hours to decode the problem, build their strategies, and submit their analyses by 12:30 PM.

From 3:45 PM onwards, the atmosphere in VKS001 was electric as the top five shortlisted teams presented their solutions before Mr. Abhijit Mutha, a consulting veteran, entrepreneur, and trainer, who brought his wealth of experience to the table. He evaluated the presentations with precision and offered valuable insights on strategic problem structuring, clarity of communication, and presentation finesse, turning the event into an extraordinary learning experience for every participant.

Each team brought forward a unique perspective, combining creativity, business logic, and structured storytelling to make their case. The competition concluded with the announcement of the winning team of three participants and a runner-up team of one participant, both commended for their clarity of thought and strategic depth.

More than just a competition, Case Odyssey became a launchpad for future consultants and business leaders, blending learning with real-world application. It strengthened participants’ ability to structure business problems, communicate insights effectively, and perform under pressure, qualities essential in today’s consulting and corporate landscape.
